Rania gaduated form the Omdurman Islamic University, majoring in journalism and publishing in 2013. Rania worked for the Al-Intibaha newspaper and Sudan Now, an english-language magazine. She won the British Thomson Foundation Award for journalists participating in the Sudan Media Capacity Building Project. She also received the Ismail Atabani Award for Investigative Journalism from the The National Council for Press and Journalistic Publications - Sudan. Her journalistic work focuses on environmental issues as well as refugee and IDP concerns in Sudan.
